Position Title: Security and Technology Administrator (“STA”)– Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Reports To: Assistant General Manager (“AGM”)
Job Summary: The STA is responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and troubleshooting District security and technology infrastructure and providing support and training for District employees’ technology needs. The STA will be the first point of contact for technical issues, ensuring that the District systems remain operational, secure, and compliant with applicable law and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Support: Resolve hardware, software, and network issues for on-site and remote staff.
- Security Systems: over see procurement, maintenance and compliance.
- System Maintenance: Perform regular updates, backups, and security patches to ensure system integrity.
- Onboarding: Set up workstations, manage user accounts (Active Directory/Microsoft 365), and conduct tech orientations for new hires.
- Infrastructure Management: Monitor server performance and maintain local area networks (LAN) and wireless access points.
- Documentation: Maintain an inventory of assets and create "how-to" guides for common technical processes.
- Vendor interface and contract management for security and technology support.
- Other projects and responsibilities as assigned by the GM or AGM.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) preferred.
- Problem Solving: A "detective" mindset to find the root cause of obscure technical glitches.
- Communication: The ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users without using confusing jargon.
- Experience with ESRI/GIS software.
- Experience: Proficiency with Windows/Mac OS, basic networking (TCP/IP), and cloud services.
Education, Training, and Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED plus a minimum of 5 years of additional education or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, Homeland Security and MTDEQ rules and regulations, and data privacy regulations
- Valid Montana Driver’s License.
- Must be able to pass a Background Check
- Drug and Alcohol Testing according to District Policy

he Board of Directors for the Flathead County Water District No. 1 - Evergreen will hold its regular monthly board meeting on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at 7:00 a.m. The meeting will be held at the District Office Building at 108 Cooperative Way. The Board will receive public comments in person as per the agenda and by email prior to the meeting, which can be sent to info@evergreenwaterdistrict.com.
