INVITATION TO APPLY FOR PARTICIPATION ON AN ADVISORY COMMITTEE

Evergreen Water & Sewer District’s wastewater is currently treated by the City of Kalispell through 2035.   The Board of Directors has created an Advisory Group to give feedback during preparation of the District’s Wastewater Treatment Alternatives Preliminary Engineering Report (PER).  The PER is exploring options for the District’s wastewater treatment to provide additional treatment capacity, expanded service area, and to potentially reduce costs.

The Committee’s Charter is as follows:

“The Wastewater Treatment Advisory Group is a voluntary group of interested community members appointed by the Flathead County Water District #1 -Evergreen Board of Directors and one representative designated by the City of Kalispell.  The group will provide feedback to the District Staff and Board about issues and alternatives identified in the Wastewater Treatment Alternatives Preliminary Engineering Report (“PER”) being prepared by Jacobs Engineering and its subcontractors.  Meetings of the Advisory Group will be conducted in compliance with State and District Open Meeting Act requirements.  Any comments or recommendations of the Advisory Group will be public information and are non-binding on the District. In addition to input from the Advisory Committee, the District will also be seeking comments from the public, including the District’s customers, and other stakeholders in compliance with state law, regulation, and the terms of various grant agreements providing funds for the Wastewater Treatment Alternatives PER.”

Interested persons should send an email with their qualifications to Mimi Wildeman mwildeman@evergreenwaterdistrict.com no later than Friday, May 22nd at noon.  The Board will consider these applications at their next regular meeting on May 27, 2026, at 7:00 a.m. at 108 Cooperative Way, Kalispell MT  59901
