NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

 

The Flathead County Water and Sewer District No. 1 – Evergreen will hold a public hearing on May 6, 2026, at 7:00 a.m., at the District office, 108 Cooperative Way, Kalispell, MT 59901.   A TEAMS link is provided to attend the meeting virtually here: https://bit.ly/4tDYx3u  or to call in at: 1-406-247-0445, Phone conference ID: 289 952 36#.  The District has scheduled the public hearing to receive comments on a water system Preliminary Engineering Report (PER) and possible applications to the DNRC Renewable Resources Grant Program, DEQ Drinking Water State Revolving Loan Fund, and USDA Rural Development. The public will also have an opportunity to comment on the assessment of potential environmental impacts associated with proposed improvements to the water supply, storage, and distribution system.

At the public hearing, the proposed project will be explained, including its purpose, the proposed project area, activities, potential environmental impacts, budget, possible funding sources, and any costs that may result for local citizens. The District will provide an opportunity for all attendees to ask questions and share opinions on the proposed project and its potential financial and environmental impacts.

 

Comments may be made orally at the public hearing or submitted in writing to the District (108 Cooperative Way, Kalispell, MT 59901 or info@evergreenwaterdistrict.com) by May 6, 2026, at 7:00 a.m.

 

The draft Environmental Assessment, PER, and Uniform Application will be available for public review at the District’s Office upon request, 108 Cooperative Way, Kalispell, MT 59901, during regular business hours Monday–Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Copies may be requested in advance by contacting the person listed below.

 

The District will make reasonable accommodation for people with disabilities who wish to participate in this public hearing or who need an alternative format of this notice. Please get in touch with Mimi Wildeman at the District Office at (406) 257-5861 or mwildeman@evergreenwaterdistrict.com no later than 48 hours before the public hearing.
